Step Up For Students scholarships accepted
Lively Keys is a direct provider in the Step Up For Students EMA Marketplace. That means scholarship funds are paid directly to the studio — no out-of-pocket costs and no reimbursement process for families. Families using FTC, FES-UA, or FES-EO scholarships can apply them toward private piano lessons.

Weekly private lessons
One-on-one instruction with Courtney Reed, tailored to your child's age, interests, and skill level. In-person at the Sarasota studio or virtual via video.
Lively Keys practice app
Full access to the custom gamified practice app. Students earn gems, unlock companion characters, complete daily missions, and build streaks that make home practice engaging.
Seasonal recitals
Two recitals per year give students a performance goal and a chance to celebrate progress in front of family and friends.
Personalized curriculum
Fun Mode for ages 5-10 with character companions and play-based learning. Focus Mode for ages 11-17 with technique, theory, and repertoire development.
Progress tracking
Parents and students can see practice streaks, gem totals, mission completions, and leaderboard standing through the app. Courtney tracks lesson progress week to week.
Studio community
Students are part of a studio of 60+ kids who cheer each other on through leaderboards, studio events, and recitals.
Pricing questions
Are there additional fees beyond the monthly tuition?
Yes. There is a registration fee, and families should plan for recital fees, method books, and a piano or keyboard at home. The Lively Keys practice app is included at no additional cost with enrollment.
What payment methods do you accept?
Lively Keys accepts Zelle autopay, check, and Step Up For Students scholarship funds. Monthly autopay via Zelle is the most common option.
